Wild Waves & Enchanted Forest
Federal Way, Washington
The largest attraction of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, Wild Waves & Enchanted Forest covers about 70 acres and includes 43 amusement rides, a large waterpark, plus shops and dining. The park is close to hotels in Tacoma and Auburn along Interstate I-5 and the Pacific Highway.
The theme park portion, known as Enchanted Village, has amusement rides and attractions for all ages, including four roller coasters. The popular Timberhawk is a wooden coaster that passes through the forest of pine trees at freeway speeds, while the Klondike Goldrusher is a wild frontier adventure ride making sharp corners. Lumberjack Falls is a splash coaster that soaks onlookers and riders after a five-story drop.
Among several rides for the kids in this theme park is the Enchanted Railway train chugging through the forest, the Red Baron high-flying World War I dogfight high above, and the Wild Wagon with a wild west theme.
For families, Wild Waves & Enchanted Forest has several rides to choose from. A restored 1906 Carousel continues to entertain guests of all ages. You can also fly like a bird on the Hang Glider or set out to sea on a thrilling adventure in the Pirate Ship.
Wild Waves adjoining waterpark has nine water slides, a 24,000 square-foot wave pool, exciting river ride and four-story tree house with interactive water features. Zooma Falls is the biggest attraction at five stories tall, and the Banzai Giant Waterslide is one of several slides found in the park.
