Universal Studios Florida is a movie-based theme park in Orlando, Florida and one of three theme parks at the Universal Orlando Resort (see Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park).

Entertaining more than five and half million visitors annually, the park invites you to "Ride the Movies" and features than 50 rides, shows and attractions in six themed areas surrounding a giant lagoon — Production Central, Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, World Expo, and Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone.

Rides found here are based on Hollywood movies and television shows and include the hilarious The Simpsons Ride in 3-D, the thrilling Revenge of the Mummy indoor roller coaster, the interactive MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack dark ride, the beloved E.T. Adventure, the action packed Terminator 2 3-D and the giant, adrenaline packed Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.

Universal Studios Florida also has attractions that demonstrate the magic of moviemaking including Transformers: The Ride-3D and Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Fast & Furious – Supercharged. The park's live entertainment includes the Animal Actors On Location, Fear Factor Live, the popular Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show and The Blues Brothers musical street revue.

For younger children, the park has three kids play areas — Curious George Goes to Town, Barney's Backyard, and Fievel's Playland.

Universal Studios Florida is also known for its annual special events and concerts. From February through March the park celebrates Mardi Gras with a parade and concerts. In September the park is host to a two-day Christian music festival called Rock The Universe. During September and October, on select nights, the park is transformed into the largest theme park Halloween event – Halloween Horror Nights and during the holiday season, the park presents the Universal's Holiday Parade featuring Macy's daily and live concerts on the weekends.
