Editor's Pick – Universal's Islands of Adventure is a world-class theme park with immersive themes and incredible thrill rides. It's also the second gate at the Universal Orlando Resort (see Universal Studios Florida).

While visiting the park you'll depart the Port of Entry to experience unexpected adventure and innovative thrills as you take an unforgettable journey through six lands surrounding a lagoon – Seuss Landing, The Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, Marvel Super Hero Island and the newest The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The six lands have a collection of rides and attractions, including four thrilling roller coasters, three water rides and several amazing dark rides.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has attractions, shops and restaurants based on the Harry Potter books and films. Here you'll see Hogwarts Castle and be able to walk through Hogsmeade Village.

Attractions within the Wizarding World include the amazing Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey dark ride inside Hogwarts Castle, Flight of the Hippogrifffamily roller coaster and Olivanders, the famous wand shop from the books with an interactive show.

Unlike Disney, Universal offers up the thrills with rides like the high-speed Incredible Hulk Coaster that takes you through seven inversions after being launched up the lift hill. Nearby The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman is a 3-D dark ride that is arguably one of the greatest theme park attractions of all-time or venture to Jurassic Park to take a ride through primeval dinosaur habitats on the River Adventure.

For younger guests, Seuss Landing has a selection of family friendly rides like The Cat in the Hat dark ride, Caro-Suess-el carousel, and the High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride.

On warmer days, the park's wettest water rides – Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls – should not be missed.
