SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park, marine animal park, and oceanarium located in Central Florida. Guests of this park are given the chance to get drenched by Shamu, meet a dolphin, come eye-to-eye with a shark and brave incredible thrill rides, including six thrilling roller coasters.
The star of every SeaWorld park is Shamu and when you visit be sure not to miss Orca Encounter, where you learn more about the park's amazing killer whales, the ocean's most powerful predator.
Additional shows include Dolphin Days, showcasing the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin, Pets Ahoy starring a cast of land animals like dogs, cats, birds, rats, skunks and pot-belly pigs, and the always entertaining, humorous antics of the park's sea lions starring in Sea Lion High: The New Class.
Besides the shows and thrilling rides, SeaWorld has plenty of animal attractions. TurtleTrek is a 3D 360 journey that goes into the hidden world of the sea turtle that is well worth checking out. Antarctica: Empire of the Penquin transports guests through a mild or wild dark ride experience that concludes when you stop off into the icy, cold exhibit to see the park's colony of Penguins. It's a welcome respite from Orlando's summer heat.
SeaWorld Orlando's collection of thrilling rides includes Mako, the tallest, fastest, longest coaster in the city and Manta, the first ride to blend up-close animal encounters with a head-first, face-down flying roller coaster. For more excitement be sure to ride Journey to Atlantis a combination water flume ride and roller coaster or Kraken a floorless, looping coaster with seven inversions.
For families and young children SeaWorld recently opened Sesame Street Land™. Here you can stroll down the world-famous street, watch an award-winning parade, enjoy rides and attractions, and play with your favorite Sesame Street friends.
SeaWorld Orlando also has a variety of animal encounters, including Dolphin Cove at Key West where you can feed and touch bottlenose dolphins in a five-acre tropical lagoon, Pacific Point Preserve which is home to California sea lions and harbor seals and the Dolphin Nursery where you can view bottlenose dolphin mothers and their newborn calves. Additional exhibits include the Shark Encounter, Stingray Lagoon, and the awe-inspiring Manta Aquarirum.
