Phantasialand
Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia – Germany
Originally a family-oriented park, Phantasialand has since grown to be one of Germany's largest, most unique theme parks with a stellar collection of attractions, including some of Europe's most exciting thrill rides.
Phantasialand invites you to enjoy over 40 attractions, many offering up a one-of-a-kind experience within a unique environment. Each attraction is more than just a ride, but instead an immersive experience often with a story to be told. The park also proudly boasts of having seven world records.
Similar to many theme parks, there are seven themed areas or lands to explore– Berlin, Wuze Town, Mexico, China Town, Klugheim, Deep in Africa, and Rockburgh.
Popular attractions at Phantasialand include roller coasters like F.L.Y., the world's longest and first launched flying coaster, an Africa-theme inverted looping coaster named Black Mamba, and Taron, the world's fastest multi-launch coaster.
Other unique rides include Chipas, a log flume ride with the world's steepest descent. This exciting adventure takes you through a Mexican archaeological site, uncovering ancient artefacts and enjoying one-of-a-kind ride features until you reach the final descent, a 53 degree drop.
The park entertains more than two million visitors annually and for theme park fans we'd rate this a "must-visit".
