Just like the toys, kids are the ones who make things happen at LEGOLAND® Florida.
This nearly 150-acre attraction is a theme park, botanical gardens and water park located half-way between Orlando and Tampa in Winter Haven. Here you'll find rides and attractions specifically for families with children ages 2 to 12 based on the Danish toymaker's LEGO® building bricks.
LEGOLAND® Florida theme park has more than 55 rides, shows, interactive attractions, restaurants and shopping. Plus, the Florida park is the only LEGOLAND to offer beautiful botanical gardens.
The park is laid out with several themed areas, including The Beginning entry plaza, Fun Town, Miniland USA, LEGO Kingdoms, Land of Adventure, LEGO Technic, LEGO City, Imagination Zone, Pirate's Cove, and DUPLO® Village.
Rides found at the park include the Island in the Sky 100-foot rotating observation platform, The Dragon and LEGO TECHNIC® Test Track roller coasters, AQUAZONE® Wave Racers, and the very popular Kid Power Towers, where kids and parents hoist themselves up to the top of a tower and then enjoy a "free-fall" to the bottom. The Florida park is also the only LEGOLAND to have a thrilling, family wooden roller coaster — Coastersaurus.
In addition to rides, the park has thousands of models built from millions of LEGO® building bricks on display. Miniland USA is the heart of the park and features LEGO® recreations of Florida, California, Las Vegas, New York City and Washington D.C.
LEGOLAND Florida is built on the historic grounds of its Cypress Gardens. The park has gone to great lengths to preserve this original Florida attraction. The gardens have been restored to their pristine condition, and the collection of native plants, including azaleas and camellias, have been reclaimed and combined with exotic species to create a horticultural masterpiece. The original Cypress Gardens Banyan tree that was planted as a seedling in five-gallon bucket in 1939 is still standing for all to enjoy.
In summer 2012, LEGOLAND Florida will open the second LEGOLAND Water Park. This add-on experience will offer guests a way to cool off in the Florida sun with a wave pool, lazy river, children's water play area and several exciting water and tube slides.
