Kemah Boardwalk Amusements

Located a short 20 miles southeast of Houston on Texas' beautiful Gulf Coast, Kemah Boardwalk is a great family getaway, whether it be just for the day or for a full vacation weekend.

No matter how long you are staying, there are some can't miss activities on the Boardwalk. These include Stingray Reef where you can touch and feed live stingrays, plus journey through a rainforest animal exhibit. Boardwalk Beast, which is a speedboat tour around the bay, as well as the only wooden roller coaster on the Texas Gulf Coast, Boardwalk Bullet.

In total there are 13 amusement rides on the Boardwalk, including a Ferris wheel, Double-Decker Carousel and high-energy thrill rides like the Wipeout and Inverter. You'll find midway games of chance, an arcade and young children love the playground and dancing water fountains.

Besides rides Kemah Boardwalk has numerous shops and dining options for your enjoyment, including Landry's Seafood, Saltgrass Steak House, Cadillac Bar and Joe's Crab Shack. For those looking to plan a special day, the Boardwalk has packages for groups, birthdays and field trips.

Located on the Boardwalk is the Boardwalk Inn a unique waterfront hotel for those you wish to spend the night. The hotel has accommodations in 52 guest rooms, each have a private balcony overlooking the Boardwalk waterfront or Galveston Bay water channel.
