This family amusement park lives by the slogan "A Kingdom for Kids". Located in the heart of Pennsylvania's Dutch Country, Dutch Wonderland, is a kid oriented park with more than 30 rides, shows and a water play area.
The park began in 1963 when the Clark Family of Lancaster founded Dutch Wonderland. Starting on just 18 acres and with four rides it quickly became a welcome destination for family fun.
Over the years, the amusement park has expanded to 48 acres with the addition of more kid-friendly attractions like two roller coasters and Duke's Lagoon water play area. Children can meet The Princess or Knight of Dutch Wonderland and their friend Duke the Dragon or ride the family friendly, but still thrilling Sky Princess wooden coaster.
There are a variety of entertainment options with shows like Thomas & Friends Live or Storytime with the Dutch Wonderland Princess.
Every October the park presents Happy Hauntings, a kid friendly Halloween event with themed rides and attractions, plus of course trick-or-treating. For the end-of-year holidays the park opens for a seasonal event called Dutch Winter Wonderland, with themed rides, games and plenty of holiday lights and décor.
Dutch Wonderland is also the perfect place to hold your child's Birthday party of 10 guests or more. The park staff is all prepared to take the work out of the party, in turn making it fun for all.
