Disneyland Paris is the most visited theme park in Europe and became the third Disneyland Park when it opened on April 12, 1992.
Originally the Euro Disney Resort in Marne-la-Valle, is an entertainment destination 20 miles (32 km) east of the center of Paris. The resort spans 4,800 acres (19.425 km²) and includes two Disney theme parks, resort hotels, shopping, dining, entertainment and recreational activities.
Disneyland Park has classic Disney attractions, parades and entertainment in five lands– Adventureland, Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Main Street U.S.A. The theme park's most popular attractions are Space Mountain: Mission 2 (Star Wars Hyperspace), Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters, Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and 'it's a small world'. Additional attractions to be enjoyed include Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, Indiana Jones et le Temple du Peril, Phantom Manor, and Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.
Shows and entertainment at Disneyland Park include parades, nightly fireworks and Disney character meet 'n' greets. Seasonally the park celebrates Halloween with a festival and the holiday's with Disney's Enchanted Christmas.
As of June 2017 Disneyland Paris is owned primarily by the Walt Disney Company.
