EPCOT

EPCOT is the second gate at the Walt Disney World Resort and the third Disney theme park worldwide. The name stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. Walt Disney envisioned EPCOT to be a showcase for innovation, a place where people could experience cutting edge technology and celebrate human achievement. The second largest Disney theme park worldwide, EPCOT has 305 acres of rides, shows, attractions, interactive presentations, dining, shopping and architectural wonders in two distinct areas – Future World and World Showcase.

Future World is a showcase of ideas and technology with pavilions – Spaceship Earth, The Land, Imagination, Universe of Energy, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Wonders of Life, Innoventions, Test Track and Mission Space.

World Showcase is a celebration of 11 nations situated along a 1.3 mile promenade that surrounds the 40-acre World Showcase Lagoon. Nations represented include Mexico, China, The American Adventure, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, Canada, United Kingdom, Morocco and Norway. Each evening the World Showcase comes alive with IllumiNations Reflects of Earth, a fireworks, water, fire and laser light spectacular presented on and above the World Showcase Lagoon.

Some of the most popular attractions at EPCOT are Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Maelstrom.
