Conneaut Lake Park

Conneaut Lake Park opened as Exposition Park in 1892. Located on the west shore of Conneaut Lake, this traditional amusement park is in a summer resort area that is popular with recreational boaters. Amusement park fans love Conneaut Lake Park since it affords you the chance to step back in time to a largely bygone era.

During its early years, Exposition Park consisted of a dance hall, convention hall, and bathhouse. The first amusement park ride, a carousel, was added as an attraction in 1899. In 1920, the park changed its name to Conneaut Lake Park to more accurately reflect the change of direction and offering of amusement rides.

Unfortunately, in recent years the park has suffered some losses of historic buildings due to fire, but don't let that stop you from visiting and supporting the park. If you're a fan of traditional amusement parks then Conneaut Lake Park should be on your list of park's to visit.

Several of the park's early rides still exist like the Tumble Bug, Kiddieland rides, and the park's flagship attraction– The Blue Streak wooden roller coaster.

Walking down the midway you'll pass games of chance, food concessions and a variety of amusement rides like the miniature train, Bumper Cars, Devil's Den dark ride, Flying Scooters, Trabant, Paratrooper, and Carousel to name a few.

Conneaut Lake Park's Kiddieland has a large collection of classic children's rides for youngsters to enjoy. The Kiddieland Little Dipper is the perfect sized roller coaster for first time riders.

Admission to the park is free. Rides are priced on a pay-as-you-go basis or you can purchase wristbands for unlimited rides. Crowds are rarely an issue and Conneaut Lake Park is known for offering affordable family fun.

Adjacent to the park is the Hotel Conneaut, a historic hotel with lakefront accommodations and turn-of-the-century charm. The hotel has been hosting guests since 1903.
