Ohio Woman Celebrates 90th Birthday On Kings Island Roller Coaster

Mason, OH – There's no better way to celebrate a birthday than by taking a ride on a roller coaster and that's exactly what Thelma Gratsch of Mount Lookout, Ohio did when she turned 90 on Friday. Gratsch visited Kings Island and boarded the park's tallest roller coaster – Diamondback.

Kings Island officials believe she may be the oldest guest to have ever ridden the Diamondback roller coaster. Gratsch has been a season passholder at the park for 33 consecutive years.

Thelma Gratsch rides the 230-foot tall Diamondback roller coaster at Kings Island (Cincinnati, Ohio) on her 90th birthday. She estimates she's ridden the roller coaster more than a hundred times since its opening in 2009.
