Montréal, Canada – La Ronde will take another step closer to becoming a theme park this summer when the park unveils their new roller coaster "Ednör – L'attaque". The park's first totally themed roller coaster signals the start of a new era for the Montréal park as it transforms from "amusement park" to "theme park."
Featuring a pre-ride show and onboard special effects, Ednör – L'attaque will take park guests on a tour of a simulated interpretation centre dedicated to the study of sea monsters, including the non-famous resident of Lac des Dauphins, Ednör.
The centre is designed to inform passengers, who are about to experience an attack by the monster at La Ronde, about these strange creatures, starting with Ednör, of course, but also Nessie, Champ, Memphré and Ponik, to name but a few. While at the centre, passengers will experience the recent events, including the monster's recent attack on workmen.
Boarding the suspended looping coaster, the story and special effects continue on board the ride when passengers come very close to a powerful spurt of water from Ednör.
Ednör – L'attaque will open to the general public on May 22, but La Ronde season passholders will have early access on May 15 and 16. For more information, visit www.laronde.com.
