This innovative new attraction combines first-ever roller coaster maneuvers, cutting-edge technology and an on-board audio system that is capable of playing songs that span across five genres of music.

"Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is where adrenaline, music and technology meet – no two experiences will be the same," said Mark Woodbury, President of Creative for Universal Parks & Resorts.

Standing 17-stories, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is an iconic new attraction at the Universal Studios Florida theme park and features three first-ever maneuvers – "Double Take", "Treble Clef" and "Jump Cut".

After ascending a vertical lift, the two-car trains make a thrilling descent leads into a series of twisted elements including "Double Take", the world's largest non-inverting vertical loop, "Treble Clef", a burst through a building façade on track shaped like the music symbol and "Jump Cut", a spiraling, negative gravity element.

Designed by amusement ride manufacturer Maurer Söhne of Germany, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit's X-Car wheelbase is short enough to allow for the tight, intricate maneuvers that this roller coaster delivers.

To further enhance this thrilling roller coaster experience Universal's Creative Team designed the roller coaster to allow riders to choose their own audio experience. A personal touchpad mounted on the ride vehicles allows you to make a music selection from one of five popular genres – Classic Rock/Metal, Rap/Hip-Hop, Club/Electronica, Pop/Disco or Country and then pick a song.

Each seat on the two car trains is outfitted with individual stereo speakers so guests can rock out to 90 decibels of music and Universal says you won't have to worry about hearing the other riders song choices either.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit's song choices includes current and legendary hits of the music world including the Black Eyed Peas, No Doubt, Kanye West, Evanescence, N.E.R.D., Montgomery Gentry and Donna Summer.

Universal is also enabling guest to take home their experience with a special on-board and off-board video system that captures every thrilling moment and pairs the video with your song selection. Your Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster experience can then be purchased at the end of the ride or online at myuniversalphotos.com.

"This roller coaster is a game-changing addition to the remarkable attractions here at Universal Orlando Resort," added Woodbury. "No one has ever created such a sophisticated ride experience. And no one has ever used technology the way we have to pull it all together."

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at the Universal Orlando Resort is now open daily. Universal Studios Florida is open daily, year round.
