Worlds of Fun 'Cans For Coasters' Promo To Help Fight Hunger

Kansas City, MO — Worlds of Fun amusement park and Harvesters Community Food Network team up to fight hunger with Cans for Coasters, a month long canned food drive that offers donors a huge discount on admission. Beginning Saturday, August 1, 2009, guests bringing non-perishable canned goods to the parks can purchase Worlds of Fun tickets for only $25.99 plus tax and Oceans of Fun tickets for $20.99 plus tax.

"We recognize that tough economic conditions have placed a great strain on the charitable services that Harvesters provides and we want to help," states Frank Wilburn, Vice President and General Manager of Worlds of Fun. "Cans for Coasters helps replenish Harvesters' resources and provides families with an opportunity to visit our parks at a heavily discounted price."

This promotion offers a savings for $15 off the Worlds of Fun gate price and $8 off Oceans of Fun. To participate guests simply need to bring one can good for each discounted ticket and there is no restrction on the number of tickets that can be purchased.

The offer is valid every day in August and tickets are valid only on the date of purchase.
