Valencia, CA — Six Flags Magic Mountain today debuts its newest thrilling attraction Terminator® Salvation™: The Ride. This $10-million wooden coaster becomes the 16th roller coaster at the Southern California theme park.
Terminator Salvation: The Ride combines innovative thrill technology with the signature science fiction punch of the Terminator Salvation brand. The debut of this new attraction coincides with the theatrical release of the Terminator Salvation movie this weekend.
Six Flags Magic Mountain's newest attraction features state-of-the-art technology including a synchronized on-board audio system, a loading station "fly-through", two tunnels, fire and fog special effects.
Guests will board the roller coaster after viewing a unique pre-show featuring stars, Common and Moon Bloodgood. The Terminator Salvation pre-show was produced exclusively for the ride and shot by the Director of Photography for Terminator Salvation, Shane Hurlbut.
Ohio-based Great Coasters International (GCI) custom designed the $10-million wooden coaster for Six Flags Magic Mountain. Terminator Salvation: The Ride's two Millennium Flyer train navigate 2,850 feet of wood track that includes five hills and six high-speed banked turns. The thrills begin when the trains begin their descent from atop the ride's 95-foot tall lift hill.

Terminator® Salvation™ is the fourth installment to the series and opens in theaters today, starring Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common and Helena Bonham Carter.
Six Flags Magic Mountain and Terminator Salvation: The Ride are open daily through Labor Day and then weekends and holidays the rest of the year.
