Disney To Release Wii Game Based On Toy Story Theme Park Ride

Burbank, CA -- Fanatics of the Toy Story Midway Mania ride at Disney's California Adventure and Disney's Hollywood Studios parks will want to pick up this Wii game so they can perfect their scoring skills for the theme park ride.

Toy Story Mania! for Wii to borrow the games from the popular Disney Theme Park attraction.

Disney Interactive Studios announced that they'll release Toy Story Mania! for the Wii game console this fall. This new game inspired by the Disney/Pixar animated feature "Toy Story" will feature an array of entertaining games based on the theme park attraction – Toy Story Mania!

"The 'Toy Story' franchise is a fun, dynamic and heart-warming series containing characters and themes that connect with every age group," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "Toy Story Mania! combines those popular elements with the unique antics of the new theme park attraction for the ultimate in family entertainment."

Toy Story Mania! will offer players the fast-paced, zany funof the Toy Story Mania theme park ride that is an interactive experience requiring 3D glasses and involving rapid or quick-firing shooting galleries.

The game will feature the theme park attraction galleries adapted for the home, plus some new and original galleries and a series of mini games, all hosted by the beloved characters from the Toy Story movies.

The release of Toy Story Mania! for Wii will correspond with the Disney Digital 3D re-release of "Toy Story" on October 2, 2009, followed by the 3D re-release of "Toy Story 2" on April 12, 2010, leading up to the premier of "Toy Story 3" in 3D in summer 2010.
