Kings Dominion Auctions First Seats on Dominator Roller Coaster

Doswell, VA -- Kings Dominion is continuing the latest theme park trend by holding an auction to be the first to ride the park's new roller coaster − Dominator.

Bidding for the chance to be among the first riders on the Dominator roller coaster has begun and will end on Thursday, May 15.

The park is auctioning the first 32 seats with all proceeds benefiting Challenge Discovery Projects. Bids can be placed online by visiting www.kingsdominion.com.

Auction winners will be seated in order with the highest bidder selecting the first seat and so on. Winners will also receive two complimentary park admissions for themselves and a friend, but only the bidder will take part in the first ride. In addition, winners will receive free parking, early admission to Kings Dominion at 9:30 am, a Dominator T-shirt, and a complimentary ride photo from their first Dominator ride.

Bidding starts at $50 and riders must be at least 54 inches tall to ride the Dominator roller coaster.

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Challenge Discovery Projects, Inc.

Challenge Discovery Projects' mission is to improve the quality of life and livelihood of at-risk youth and families throughout Greater Richmond. Challenge Discovery Projects supports this mission by providing three programs that address violence, substance abuse and emotional/mental health issues
