Three-Fourths of Exhibitor Space Sold For 2008 IAAPA Attraction Expo

Alexandria, VA -- International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) reports that a record number of manufacturers and suppliers have submitted contracts and been placed on the exhibit floor for the upcoming attractions expo this November. The annual IAAPA Attractions Expo will take place November 17 – 21 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Over 700 companies from 19 countries have been placed in 380,000 net square feet of exhibit space, almost three-fourths of the entire floor. More than 500 exhibitors were assigned floor space at the Space Allocation Meeting March 19 and 20.

"We are on pace to sell out the floor earlier than anticipated," said Peter Barto, director of exhibition marketing and sales for IAAPA.

According to a statement from IAAPA, this is a record high for both the total number of exhibitors assigned, as well as the total space rented.

Barto added, "We've never sold this much space in such a short period of time. The floor is filling faster than it ever has in IAAPA's history in Orlando."

The IAAPA exhibit floor showcases a large variety of products and services for the attractions industry.
