Myrtle Beach Family Kingdom Named Best Family Amusement Venue

Myrtle Beach, SC -- Myrtle Beach's Family Kingdom Amusement Park has been voted the best "Family Amusement Venue" by the readers of The Sun News. The results of the papers "Reader's Choice" poll were announced in the October 28th edition of the newspaper.

Faimily Kingdom in Myrtle Beach is the only seaside amusement park on the Grand Strand and offers 30 rides and attractions, plus midway games, family entertainment and delicious treats. The amusement park has been in business since 1966.

"As the only seaside amusement park along the Grand Strand, Family Kingdom provides the kind of entertainment that generations of visitors have come to expect during a vacation in Myrtle Beach," said Leigh Meese, president of Family Kingdom Amusement Park. "This poll represents the opinions of those who know Myrtle Beach best and are most familiar with all of the amusements available here, so it is particularly gratifying to learn that they view Family Kingdom as the best."

Attractions at Family Kingdom include the Swamp Fox roller coaster and the largest Ferris wheel in the state of South Carolina.

The adjacent Family Kingdom Water Park features three serpentine water flumes each with a drop of greater than 100 feet, two speed slides and two intermediate slides, all with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean. The water park also has a lazy river, splash pools and eight water slides for children.
