Pigeon Forge, TN -- Dollywood's Splash Country will expand their attraction offerings with the opening of the new SwiftWater Run tube slide. This $1 million attraction will debut at the 35-acre water park in May 2008.
"I was looking for something that would set folks to spinning, and that's just what my SwiftWater Run will do," Dolly Parton said. "This ride's got a few twists and turns and spins, but that's all I'm gonna tell until next May!"
SwiftWater Run is a tube bowl slide that offers passengers the choice to ride in a single or double inner tube. The slide begins with a 54-inch diameter tunnel that propels rides down and into a large bowl. After making several rounds, passengers then enter a corkscrew before navigating a downward chute that plunges into the landing pool.
SwiftWater Run will be located amid the water slide complex that includes Mountain Scream and Mountain Twist.
