Denver, CO - Denver's oldest theme park unveiled a new logo and the return of its original name as it prepares for the opening of the park's 117th season on April 28. After eight years, the "Six Flags" name is being wiped from the signage as the theme park reverts back to the familiar name, Elitch Gardens.
The name change follows Six Flags announcement Monday that it had completed the sale of the Denver theme park and six others to Jacksonville, FL based PARC 7F.
The ownership change means it's the end of the era for Six Flags in Denver.
