Is Nickelodeon Coming To the Mall of America Theme Park?

Bloomington, MN -- There is no official word, but the Mall of America and Nickelodeon are reported to be in the final stages of negotiating a branding deal that would bring the Nickelodeon characters to the Mall of America theme park.

The park formerly called Camp Snoopy has been operating without a theme and characters for the past year. After the departure of Snoopy last January, the park was renamed Park at MOA.

According to newspaper reports, Nickelodeon would design rides for the seven-acre indoor theme park based on their popular animated television shows. Nickelodeon's animated characters would also make daily appearances to entertain and meet with theme park guests.

No official announcement has been made and mall officials had no comment.
