Wichita, KS -- Wild West World a new 130-acre theme park being built north of Wichita will be ready to open on May 5.
Construction of the $30 million theme park is about 30 days ahead of schedule, according to owner Thomas Etheredge.
When the park debuts this spring it will feature 24 rides, including two roller coasters. Some of the rides are reported to be already ready to run.
Wild West World is expected to draw about a half million visitor in its first season and will create about 400 new jobs.
Season tickets are already on sale for a discounted price of $59.95. Regular admission to Wild West World will be $25.50 for adults and $20.50 for children and seniors.
