Branson, MO -- A developer announced plans to build a $600 million attraction in Branson that will include an aquarium, 300-room resort hotel and indoor water park. Pinnacle Falls if approved will hopefully open in 2008 on 300 acres of land west of Celebration City theme park.
David Cushman, a Branson developer and a consultant Mel Bilbo, former CEO of Silver Dollar City announced the project.
The project calls for mountain city with a European theme to be built. The year-round attraction, built around a 300-room resort hotel will include shops and restaurants that will extend out lining manmade waterways. An aquarium and indoor water park are also major components of the project.
The attraction is expected to draw 400,000 new visitors to the Branson area.
Bilbo said that they are starting the process of going to the city to obtain the necessary approvals. After the city grants permission they will obtain financing to start construction.
