Boardwalk To Celebrate Carousel's 95th Birthday

Santa Cruz, CA -- Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will celebrate the 95th birthday of the park's historic Looff Carousel with a special promotion on Memorial Day Weekend.

For the holiday weekend (May 26 - 29) special brass rings will be mixed in with the standard steel rings in the Carousel's ring dispenser. Anyone who finds a brass ring will have the option of keeping it as a souvenir, or trading it in for a free ticket to a Boardwalk attraction.

The Boardwalk's Looff Carousel is a National Historic Monument.

The same weekend the Boardwalk will also debut their new thrill ride, Wipe Out. This exciting new attraction is located next to the Cave Train.
