Kansas Joyland Hopes To Reopen Roller Coaster May 27

Wichita, KS -- Joyland Amusement Park hopes to have the park's historic wooden roller coaster ready when the park reopens for daily operation on May 27. The park was scheduled to be open weekends in May, but the new owners decided to keep the park closed so they could work on the rides.

The amusement park returned to operation this season under new ownership after sitting closed for two years. Joyland's Roller Coaster is a classic "out and back" woodie that dates back to 1949.
