MGM Unveils Plans For Theme Park In South Korea

Seoul, Korea -- Hollywood studio MGM unveiled plans to build a "Hollywood" theme park in South Korea's southern port city of Busan. The city and MGM signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly build an "MGM Studio Park". The theme park will become a part of a tourism complex Busan is building in the eastern part of the city. Developer Glovit, MGM's South Korean partner will be responsible for operating the theme park. Construction is expected to begin next year and the park is scheduled to open in 2011.
