Arlington, TX -- Six Flags Over Texas announced plans to add ten new rides and attractions to the theme park for upcoming 2006 season. The expansion part of the park's 45th anniversary celebration is the largest capital improvement project ever at the Arlington theme park.

Opening in Spring 2006, the debut of these ten new family rides and attractions will give guests 10 new reason to visit Six Flags Over Texas.

"Remaining true to our tradition, the addition of 10 new family rides in 2006 represents a major commitment on the part of Six Flags Over Texas to keep delivering wholesome family fun, " said Steve Calloway, vice president and general manager. "Ten rides in one year is a huge investment."

This Texas-size expansion includes a host of the most innovative and exciting family rides in the industry. The new rides will be spread through the theme park giving park visitors a greater variety and the ability to maximize their visit to Six Flags Over Texas.
