Kings Dominion's WaterWorks Water Park Opens May 14

Doswell, VA -- Surf's up at Paramount's Kings Dominion with the May 14 opening of WaterWorks, the 19-acre water park located within the theme park. Admission to WaterWorks is included with the regular park admission ticket or with a Season Pass-two parks for the price of one!

WaterWorks features nearly 40 attractions, including Pipeline Peak-a complex of four completely unique enclosed tube slides. Thrill seekers won't want to miss the exhilarating 77-foot-tall Night Slider, the world's tallest enclosed dark tube slide.

Everyone will want to cool off in Big Wave Bay, a 650,000-gallon wave pool. Big Wave Bay features waves that crest up to four feet tall, tapering off into wavelets at the shore. Guests can kick back and drift through WaterWorks on the Lazy Rider, a relaxing river raft ride that meanders under waterfalls and around geysers.

Surf City Splash House is a water-powered fun house that brings a new way for families to play together. This unique attraction features more than 50 interactive, multi-level water elements, including a 40-foot-high bucket that dumps 800 gallons of water every few minutes. There are 12 different levels of activity, interconnected with bridges, cargo nets and web crawls, as well as water slides, water jets and water pumps. Lil' Barefoot Beach is a special play area for the smallest of guests, featuring a splash pool and activity area.

The entrance to WaterWorks is located near the center of The Grove section of the park, next to the Drop Zone Stunt Tower. WaterWorks opens at noon each operating day through September 5, 2005.
