Jackson, NJ -- Six Flags Great Adventure today will hoist the final piece of steel track into place on Kingda Ka, completeing the record breaking 456-foot tower. Kingda Ka when it opens this spring will not only be the world's tallest, but it will also be the world's fastest roller coaster.
Kingda Ka announced last fall is largest single attraction in the park's history and the highlight of Great Adventure's 11-acre expansion. The new roller coaster will launch from 0 to 128 mph in four seconds and climb to a height of 456 feet. Kingda Ka takes the world records away from Top Thrill Dragster, a similar roller coaster located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
