Roar Closed Temporarily After Inspection

Vallejo, CA -- Six Flags Marine World's newest roller coaster Roar was closed for several days last week after inspectors found potential mechanical problems during a routine inspection.

The popular wooden roller coaster was closed on Thursday and remained closed through Saturday evening. Roar returned to normal operation on Sunday.

According to a Six Flags spokesman, the ride was closed after inspectors found a potential problem with the ride's drive train. The park did contact the manufacturer Great Coasters International to determine the appropriate repairs.
