Sandusky, OH -- Imagine... riding the world's largest collection of rides and roller coasters - over and over - at the "Best Amusement Park in the World" for the entire 2002 season - all for only $79! Cedar Point amusement park/resort has announced that the price of its 2002 Regular Season Pass will go on sale for less than what it cost a year ago ($85) - for a limited time only.
This all-new lower price will be offered from Saturday, Sept. 8 through Wednesday, Oct. 31. On Thursday, Nov. 1, Season Pass prices will be increased. The $79 Cedar Point Regular Season Pass price is valid for guests ages 4-59, 48 inches and taller.
Returning for the second year to Cedar Point's Season Pass program for 2002 is the popular Joe Cool Club, a special membership that Regular Season Passholders can join for an additional $15, entitling them to exclusive ride time on Cedar Point's amazing array of rides and roller coasters, discounts on merchandise, food and resort accommodations and the ability to purchase a portable parking pass that is on their photo ID so Passholders can carry it with them in any non-commercial vehicle.
2002 Regular Combo Passes, which are valid at both Cedar Point and its adjacent Soak City water park, are now available for $129. Senior Combo Passes, age 60 and older, are on sale for $109. Guests who purchase a Regular Combo Pass or Senior Combo Pass by Oct. 31 will automatically be enrolled in the Joe Cool Club - for free! Junior Season Passes, age 4 and older, under 48 inches tall, are $39; Junior Combo Passes are $64; and Senior Season Passes are $69. Parking Passes are $50; however, for guests who purchase their 2002 Season, Combo, Senior Season or Senior Combo Pass certificate by Oct. 31, Parking Passes will be only $25.
Season Pass and Combo Pass certificates can be purchased at the Cedar Point Season Pass Center, located at the park's main entrance. The Season Pass office will open daily at 11 a.m. September 8 through October 31. The office closes weekdays at 5 p.m., weekends at 8 pm. Starting September 17 the office will be open Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m., Sundays until 8 p.m. and Monday through Thursday until 5 p.m.
Season Pass and Parking Pass certificates can also be ordered by telephone, fax, mail or the Internet. Beginning Saturday, Sept. 8, telephone orders will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by calling 419.627.2309.
Mail orders should be sent to: Cedar Point Season Pass Center, One Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870-5259. All mail orders should be postmarked no later than Wednesday, Oct. 31 to receive the sale price.
Fax orders can be placed by calling 419.627.2347.
Internet orders can be completed by Oct. 31 by logging on to cedarpoint.com.
A postage and handling fee will be added to all phone, fax and mail orders. The handling fee for online orders is determined by the shipping method selected.
Season Passholders will be able to use their pass for admission to any of Cedar Point's five sister parks: Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minn.; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pa.; Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Mo.; Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif.; and Michigan's Adventure near Muskegon, Mich. Combo Passholders will be able to use their pass for admission at each of those parks and Oceans of Fun water park in Kansas City, Mo.; Soak City USA in Buena Park, Calif.; Soak City USA in Chula Vista, Calif.; and Knott's Oasis in Palm Springs, Calif.
