Hersheypark in the Dark magically transforms the theme park into a colorful fall festival, complete with pumpkins and scarecrows. More than 35 rides are open, decorated, and re-named for the season. Great Scare (Great Bear), Ichabod's Train (The Comet), and sooperBOOperLooper (sooperdooperLooper) offer thrill seekers nighttime coaster rides to remember. Bats in the Belfry (Kissing Tower), Witches Brew (Tilt-A-Whirl), and Raven Haven (Flying Falcon) will delight young and old alike. In addition to park rides, an extensive list of family entertainment is planned in the Hersheypark theatres.

The celebration continues as the skies over Hershey light up with approximately 25 hot-air balloons being launched from the field adjacent to the front gates of Hersheypark. Accompanying the launches is a majestic Balloon Glow, scheduled for the early evening hours. Balloon launches are planned daily for all eight days and balloon rides will be available for a fee.
