Disneyland Discounts 2-Day Admission for Local Residents

Anaheim, CA -- A decline in attendance at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure theme parks has prompted the resort to offer discounted admission for Southern California residents to draw local visitors. Now through December 18 local residents can purchase a two-day admission ticket for only $6 more than the one-day admission.

The new program for California residents living in zip codes 90000 to 93599 started on November 4 and continues through December 18. The two-day adult ticket is $49 and children under 9 pay only $39 for the same.

The two-day ticket entitles the holder to admission to Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure, each day. Guests can visit both parks or visit the same park for two days.

Disney is hoping this special offers will improve the situation by bring local visitors to the park. Both theme parks at the Disneyland Resort have experienced a sharp decline in attendance since the September 11 attacks.

Both parks have begun to celebrate the holidays with park wide decorations and Christmas trees. Inside Disneyland guests can enjoy two special rides, Haunted Mansion Holiday and It's A Small World Holiday. Believe in Holiday Magic, the Christmas fireworks show is presented nightly and the Christmas Fantasy parade will begin on Thanksgiving Day.
