Worlds Of Fun Announces Camp Snoopy For 2001

Kansas City, MI -- Straight out of the pages of the world-famous comic strip, everybody's favorite beagle and his friends are hosting an exciting collection of family rides and attractions at Camp Snoopy, Worlds of Fun's all-new family playland.

Camp Snoopy will be over one acre and home to several rides and attractions designed especially for families. Hosted by the world-famous Peanuts characters, Camp Snoopy encourages children and parents to spend the day together enjoying family versions of Worlds of Fun's most popular rides.

Among Camp Snoopy's miniature adventures are Woodstock's Airmail, a small-scale tower ride designed by the inventors of Worlds of Fun's popular Detonator; Woodstock Express, a kiddie train that will take them on a Snoopy style train ride; Snoppy's Camp Buss, where children and parents can ride with the Peanuts gang on the yellow Camp Snoopy school bus; and the Red Baron, a swinging airplane themed around Snoopy's classic adventures with the Red Baron. Camp Snoopy also features unique adventures created just for the little ones including Snoopy Bounce, a giant, enclosed inflatable air mattress in which kids can jump and play.

Also included in Worlds of Fun's newest attraction are Peanuts Campground Theatre, and Charlie Brown's Kite Eating Tree, while Beagle Bay Outfitters houses all the essential Peanuts merchandise, making it easy to gear-up Snoopy-style.

Only one of five in America, Camp Snoopy at Worlds of Fun is the only place in Mid-America to meet the Peanuts characters each and every day, all summer long. Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the gang will appear live throughout the operating season to meet children and pose for pictures.

Worlds of Fun continues to offer a total family entertainment experience, from Camp Snoopy for young children and parents to Mamba and other exciting rides for teenage thrill seekers.
