Valencia, CA - A source confirmed Monday that Superman the Escape is now fully operational once again at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Both sides will be operating for the upcoming Spring Break period.
The ride had been closed for the past several months for maintenance and the installation of new fin breaks. One side of Superman reopened in late-February and the both sides were operational last weekend.
According to a source the new fin breaks will only activate if the ride trips (shuts down) on the return to the station. The breaks will prevent the car from entering the maintenance area located behind the loading platform. The new breaks will save the park's maintenance crew time, by not having to winch the car back into the station.
