Riverside Park Announces New Attractions For 1999

Agawam, MA - Since 1996, Riverside Park has been transformed into New England's New SuperPark. With over $80 million in improvements since 1996, Riverside Park now features a full scale water park and theme park with over 130 rides and attractions.

Recently park officials announced the Blizzard River, a new one million-gallon white water raft ride.

The new Blizzard River will be nearly 1,400 feet in length. Riders will travel the length of the river in eight-person rafts encountering bends, bottlenecks, thrilling rapids and a plunge over the forbidden falls.

Blizzard River is just a part of the $30 million being spent on new attractions and shows for 1999. Other new attractions at Riverside include the debut of Crack Axle Canyon, featuring a dozen new rides and attractions.

In addition New England's wettest water park, Island Kingdom will have 50% more attractions to thrill guests. Guests may relax in the all new Breakers Beach or scream on the new and exciting Shark Attack water slides attraction.

Riverside Park, New England's new SuperPark opens for the 1999 season on Saturday, April 24.
