Williamsburg, VA -- The results are in and Busch Gardens Williamsburg is declared the winner of two prestigious awards. The National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA) has named the Williamsburg park the world's "Favorite Theme Park" in 2000 and America's "Most Beautiful Theme Park" for the ninth consecutive year.
Since its opening in 1975, Busch Gardens Williamsburg has taken pride in acres of artfully designed landscaping. Designed to complement the natural terrain and beautiful Virginia countryside, Busch Gardens has continued this tradition for more than 25 years.
The two celebrated awards are the result of this year's survey conducted by NAPHA members. Founded in 1978, NAPHA is an international educational and enthusiast's organization dedicated to the preservation, documentation and enjoyment of the amusement park industry.
"We're extremely proud of our park and thrilled to accept these honors. Busch Gardens continually strives to provide the ultimate in theme park experiences and guest satisfaction," said Dan Brown, executive vice president and general manager for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. "We are dedicated to excellence and credit our success to our hard-working cast members," added Brown.
