Killer Whale Attempts To Bite Trainer at SeaWorld

San Diego, CA -- On Sunday the Associated Press (AP) and other news sources reported that a killer whale at Sea World in San Diego tried to bite a trainer during a show last Saturday.

According to SeaWorld spokesman Bob Tucker, the park ended the show a few minutes early after the 5,000-pound whale tried to "nip" the trainer. Fortunately, the trainer escaped injury by getting out of the aquarium in a hurry.

Park officials said that the whale will continue to perform in the shows, but the trainers will remain out of the water while the park conducts and investigation. The park hopes to determine what may have caused the whale to act in the manner that it did.
