Santa Claus, IN -- Holiday World and Splashin' Safari will announce their plans to build a new 4,000 foot long wooden coaster today. The new attraction that will be announced at today's press conference, is slated to be ready for opening day of the 2000 season.

Last Friday evening at the Stark Raven Mad coaster event, Holiday World's owner Will Koch, unofficially announced the new project.

According to details gathered at the event, Ohio-based Custom Coasters International, Inc (CCI) will design the new coaster. The ride will be approximately 115 feet tall, have top speeds of near 55 mph and feature a twister layout with three exciting crossovers.
