Disney to Build Coaster at Animal Kingdom for 2002

Lake Buena Vista, FL -- Walt Disney World Orlando announced expansion plans including a new roller coaster at Animal Kingdom in 2002. Chester & Hester's Dino Rama! will be a new "mini-land" of zany fun planned for DinoLand, USA.

The main attraction in Chester & Hester's Dino Rama will be a new family roller coaster called Primeval Whirl. This new "spinning wild mouse" coaster will be built with rider-controlled, spinning "time machines" cars that transport riders around curves, short drops and through the jaws of a dinosaur skeleton.

Triceraptop Spin, a new spinning ride will take guesd on an up-down-and-around ride in four passneger vehicles that move around a giant spinning toy top that opens to reveal a dinosaur.

Chester and Hester are familiar to fans of Disney's Animal Kingdom as the prorietors of Chester & Hester's, a shop with tables and racks spilling over with dinosaur toys, trinkets and T-shirts.

In addition to the new rides in Dino Rama, Chester and Hester are creating a new midway of fun where guests can try their hand at midway style games like Ringosaurus.

Chester & Hester's Dino Rama, with the new roller coaster, spinning ride and midway are slated to open in early-Spring 2002.
