Lake Buena Vista, FL -- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin a colorful new ride inside the Magic Kingom at the Walt Disney World Resort is now open. The attraction located in Adventureland is themed after the popular 1992 animated film Aladdin.
Park guests board one of sixteen 4-passenger "carpet" vehicles which circle around a giant Genie's bottle. Guests control the magic carpets moving up anddown and pitching forwards and backwards during the ride.
Whimsical, water spewing camels surround the attraction and "spit" at the airborne guests, unless of course guests maneuver out of the path of the spitting camel. Music from the animated classic is featured throughout the ride.
Complimenting the new Adventureland attraction is the new Agrabah Bazaar merchandise area. Guests can enjoy shopping in the atmospheric, stall-filled Middle Eastern open-air marketplace that is bustling with merchants peddling colorful wares.
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin ride system was designed by Zamperla, under the direction of Walt Disney Imagaineering.
