Riders Evacuated from Knott's Boomerang Coaster

Buena Park, CA -- Passengers on the Booomerang roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm were evacuated Friday after the train got stuck between two inversions. The incident occurred at 2:30 p.m. when the train came to a stop in the middle of the boomerang double inversion.

The riders were removed from the train and escorted down the roller coasters' catwalks. No one was injured in this minor incident.

The Boomerang remained closed Friday while Knott's investigated the incident.

The Boomerang roller coaster was designed by Vekoma Manufacturing. Similar incidents on this type of roller coaster have also occurred at Six Flags Marine World and Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in all situations there were no major injuries.
