Sandusky, OH -- A power outage caused by an old underground cable forced the closure of some the parks most popular attractions during the evening of the 4th of July holiday.
The outaged occurred at 9:10 p.m. and forced the sudden closure of Raptor, Cedar Downs, Scrambler and the Sky Ride. All of the attractions were safely evacuated and no was reported to be injured.
Park guests were able to walk off Raptor, Cedar Downs and the Scrambler. A back-up, fuel-powered engine was used to evacuate the Sky Ride.
According to reports the power was restored within 90 minutes of the reported outage.
