Worlds Of Fun Celebrates Independence Day

Kansas City, MO -- This Fourth of July, Worlds of Fun will commemorate Independence Day with Celebrate America, one of the largest fireworks extravaganzas in Kansas City.

Worlds of Fun guests can also experience Summer Spectacular, located in the Heart of America Theater. This dazzling display of laser lights and pyrotechnics synchronized to music will make your day at Worlds of Fun unforgettable. Summer Spectacular is featured nightly through August 20.

The new thrill roller coaster Boomerang will rocket riders through two corkscrew turns and a signature 60-foot vertical loop turning them upside down three times. Riders then head up another nearly vertical 12-story tower where the whole trip begins again... backwards! Mamba adds another dimension of excitement to your summer. With its highest point towering at 205-feet and speeds reaching up to 75 mph, Mamba is one of the world's tallest, longest, and fastest roller coasters.

Prior to the excitement of the fireworks and Summer Spectacular, guests can enjoy a burger or shake from Coasters, Worlds of Fun's '50s style diner located just next to Mamba's first hill. From the '57 Chevy to the music played by the Juke Box, you'll feel like you've taken a trip back in time. Coasters' patio is the perfect spot for guests to watch the night sky light up with brilliant fireworks on the Fourth of July.
