Buena Park, CA -- Knott's officials announced that they have as of Sunday reopened the GhostRider roller coaster following last week's minor incident.
The park's maintenance staff spent the past week installing metal straps and ribbed nails to the 4,533-feet of wooden coaster track.
Knott's and Custom Coaster Inc, of Ohio, the coaster manufacturer decided to make the modifications as a preventative measure.
Last Monday five individuals sustained minor injuries including cuts and lacerations, when a board mysteriously popped loose striking the riders during the ride.
