Superman Coaster Reopens at Six Flags New England

Agawam, MA -- Superman Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England reopened Saturday, August 18 after being closed for 11 days due to an accident. According to reports the investigation, necessary repairs and testing is complete.

The results of the investigation revealed that a broken PVC air hose prevented the brakes for fully engaging thus causing the train collision. The investigation revealed that the train was slowed to less than 20 mph, but the investigators could not determine the exact speed.

Six Flags reportedly replaced the PVC airlines with steel reinforced air hoses to prevent a similar accident from occurring in the future.
