Raven Rated No. 1 Wooden Coaster in National Survey

Santa Claus, IN -- The Raven at Holiday World is the new #1 Wooden Roller Coaster in the world. This top honor was announced today by Amusement Today magazine, which presented the results of its annual survey of the "best of the best" in the amusement and theme park industry in its August issue.

The survey, dubbed the "Golden Ticket Awards," also named Holiday World & Splashin' Safari the #1 Friendliest Park and #1 Cleanest Park, outranking such major parks as Disney World, Kings Island, Busch Gardens, and Cedar
Point.

"We are thrilled with all three of the #1 titles," says Holiday World & Splashin' Safari President Will Koch. "To be the home of the world's #1 wooden coaster is an honor we've dreamed of for many years. And we're so proud of our Hosts & Hostesses for working so hard to be friendlier and cleaner than any other park in the world!"

In addition, Holiday World's new wooden coaster÷The Legend÷is the highest ranked new wooden coaster. Ranked the world's #7 wooden coaster, this makes Holiday World the only theme or amusement park with two top-ten wooden coasters.

With three Golden Ticket Awards, Holiday World ties with Ohio's Cedar Point and the new Islands of Adventure in Orlando for the most awards received in 2000.
