Lake Compounce Accepting Name Suggestions for New Coaster

Bristol, CT - Lake Compounce announced that it is now accepting name suggestions for their new wooden coaster that will be built for the 2000 season.

The new custom out and back wooden coaster is designed by Custom Coasters, Inc. and will run along the mountain that stands all along the backside of Lake Compounce.

Name suggestions for the new coaster can be e-mailed to info@lakecompounce.com.

The park states that your suggestion if selected could make you famous! But best of all, you could become one of the first to ride the new coaster at Lake Compounce next year.

The name contest is not new to Lake Compounce. In 1997 the park held a similar contest to name the Vekoma-designed "boomerang" roller coaster. A young girl won after the park selected her suggestion to the name the coaster the Zoomerang.
